Uday and Qusay's Last Stand
Mosul, Iraq, July 22, 2003: Kuma\War's first online game mission features Uday and Qusay Hussein, sons of Saddam and leaders of his most notorious military units. The online game replicates the two-stage process the 101st Airborne and Special Forces endured, and the hours-long firefight it took to kill the infamous brothers.
In the end, the sons of expelled leader Saddam Hussein -- numbers two and three on the US Military's most wanted list -- were dead, gruesome images of their dead bodies on Iraqi TV offering graphic proof that the regime's days were finally at an end.
But questions were raised in the aftermath of the battle: How did the brothers hold out against America's elite forces? Could Uday and Qusay have been captured and interrogated? Why instead were powerful anti-tank TOW missiles used, more-or-less ensuring their death?
Today's Kuma News video features commentary from Major General Thomas L. Wilkerson (ret.) and focuses on these questions. You'll also have the opportunity to test the tactics the commander employed during the online game, taking charge of a fireteam from the 101st Airborne Division and assaulting the building both with and without TOWs.
This premium online game edition of Kuma War is a two-part mission: part one, in which you'll clear the surrounding area of opposing forces and part two, in which you'll attempt to take the building, capturing or killing the Hussein brothers.
