  • Why We Won:

The festival recognized Kuma and its team of creative partners, ranging from the AFI Film Lab to IBM to The Cartoon Network to Microsoft for innovation in creating a customized movie experience for individual consumers at the moment it's being viewed. Unlike most machinima - short films created with pre-existing game engines - Leaving the Game uses Kuma's own rendering engine and puts the tools of motion pictures in the user's hands.
  • The All-New Kuma Entertainment Experience

Leaving the Game isn’t just a video. What you see depends on who you are and where you are. The assets you get aren’t the same for everyone. If you’re an adult, you get the mature version. If you’re a child, you get the PG- version. You even get the language you want, and because it’s real-time, the characters’ lip-synch correctly. Kuma lets you first watch the movie and then join in the experience by playing the game. Kuma is taking television to the next level by making it a truly interactive experience.
